8 Feb 2010, 0921 hrs IST

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: A probe will be conducted to clarify whether any Congress leaders in Munnar have accepted any bounty from Tata, said KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala.

The chief said they have sought an explanation from Congress leader and Devikulam MLA Mani, who opposed the demolition of check dams constructed by Tata.

Many of the political leaders in Idukki stay in Tata’s houses and not only that many work in the companies owned by Tata.
