Kaminey A song in Vishal Bharadwaj’s upcoming film Kaminey , starring Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapur , promotes safe sex.

We’ve seen vamps luring the muscled heroes or testosterone-driven villains to the bed in Hindi film songs. And we’ve seen coy heroines in hesitant embraces with heroes on rain drenched nights. But how many times have we seen a song admonishing safe sex?

Well, that’s what ‘Kaminey’ has – a song that cautions about the dangers of AIDS and promotes the use of condoms.







The film has Shahid playing two characters – Guddu, a simple guy who works for an NGO, and his twin Charlie a rough and tough guy who lives on the wrong side of the law.

In a sequence, Guddu goes to a red light area and starts singing a song about safe sex.

The song’s words go something like: “Bhawra aaya aayaa re, gun gun karta aayaa re… Yeh ishq nahi aasan, AIDS ka khatra hai… pathwar pehen kar jaana, yeh aag ka dariya hai”.

Sung by Sukhwinder Singh , the number is written and composed by Vishal Bharadwaj . By the way, Vishal’s last directorial venture was a short film titled ‘Blood Brothers’ which was aimed at creating AIDS awareness.
